Volunteer Opportunities
Blue Bell volunteers have played a vital role in supporting the organization since its founding.
What does a Blue Bell volunteer do?
Volunteering is rewarding and fun! Our dedicated group of cat-lovers act as companions to our kitties, helping us create the homelike environment that is so unique to Blue Bell. The main responsibility of our volunteers is to build bonds with our resident cats and engage them in various enrichment activities, like grooming and play. All the cats that live here came from homes where they were well-loved, and most of them enjoy human interaction and attention. In addition to cat companionship, volunteers can participate in special events both on and offsite throughout the year.
What are the requirements? All volunteers must:
When can I volunteer?
Blue Bell is open to volunteers 365 days a year from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm weekdays and 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm weekends. Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of two hours per week or bi-weekly at a regular day and time. This day and time will be determined based on volunteer availability and Blue Bell’s needs. A fixed volunteer schedule helps provide stability in the cats’ lives and ensures that we can maximize the amount of time each day that the cats receive love and attention.
